A Book... Nature part 1 or ???

          Something approaches,
               From over Yonder,
                    Be on the lookout,
And stay out of its way.
                          - The Sheriff -

1. Nature

Thunder rolls across the darkening hilltops like a chill races up your spine.  The accompanied flashes of light are close enough to make your hair on your back stand straight and for a brief moment reveal the ominous thunderheads racing toward a secluded valley village..  The surrounding deciduous forest shakes, and the rustle of leaves cascades down the mountain side ahead of a swift updraft.

As the fading sun tucks away its light behind the clouds, a rapid cooling of the air is ensues. Its signaled by a snap in the forest, a broken limb, somewhere far away, echoing now.  Repeated closer, and closer, until the cracking befuddles the creatures of the forest, whom shudder in their burrows, unable to distinguish the rumble from the ground or the sky.

The storms indiscriminate onslaught has no empathy between man made and nature as the limbs pile up on the forest floor.  It was only a matter of time, that one such branch hit a raised line, high above a paved road.   It causes the line came loose, and hit the ground breaking the wire.  An adjacent cylinder near the break pops, and a burning smell hits the air.

The cause and effect is not really noticed here, but further down the road the village is effectively shut down.  Businesses instantly notice and pick up their cell phones, complaining to the power companies, the service providers, their parents or significant others.  Constantly worried about the bottom line.  Unfortunately this mess won't be looked at till the storm passes, and the leaves are just starting to russel.

Dance the Night Away

I move to the left,

               and I

                         Move to the right,

      And I see this girl,
           She seems alright,

       I Walk up beside her,
           My feet get lighter,
    She smiles at me,
               There's Chemistry.

                                                     Who,
                                       The hell are you,
                                         To wonder,
                                             Into my world,

   Down this shot,

             to,

                Loosen your soul,

     I Stare into,
         Your devilish eyes,

     Take my hand
                   As I lead you on,
             I'll turn you into ,
        My dancing queen,

                                                     Who,
                                       The hell are you,
                                         To wonder,
                                             Into my world.

Lost & Found

Never lost,
      Never found,
Is a cold day in this,
    Paradise,
      The sun was shinning,
           As your lips turned blue,

       Will you ever remember,
          A day past November,
    Collapsed,
         This friendship,
               Fades away.

Honesty vs Reality

Our first reaction,
    is the most honest,

   Which,
      is immediately followed by,
           A retraction,

   This revision,
        Is a calculated decision,
           of what is considered,
         acceptable behavior,

           This can only be learned,
       through the observation,
                      of  a constantly evolving,
                surrounding.

"I Have a Dream" 50 Years Later (We Still Have Work To Do)

I believe racism,
     Is the checkbox,
   On an application,

        The information stored,
           In databases,
                That is not relevant,
              To your ability,

To be used as an after thought,
If you can do a job,
              Go to school,
               Be in the Military,

          My advice
Don't ask in the first place,
               Don't mention
                        if your,
                  black or white,
           Old or young,
               Male or Female,

      Not in conversation,
   Not on a form,
          Never,

      Let us remove the word,
         From the dictionary,
            Today,
                Till the end of time.

Waiting

Waiting for a train here in conshohocken,
I hit my baby up I ask her what she's watchin,
She says the TVs out on the who's damn street,
She's bored to death and waitin on me--ee--ee  (triplet)

         Into the city,
            We'll escape this mundane day,
         I'll save you,
               You'll save me,
