Fat Cat in the Sky

Keep your secrets near,
      For strangers will surely stumble,

I don't mean to pull your ear,
    But lets let the people tumble,

Sidewalks,
      boardwalks,
Are uneven everywhere,

cracking,
     crumbling,
the systems in disrepair,

animals,
     we're all animals,
straight jackets in disguise,

animals,
    they're all animals,
why ruin the surprise?

Dance With Me

             Alive,
for the very first time,
                                          I try,

To surmise,
            these feelings I have,

              but try not to laugh,
                                   at rejection,

         So if you will,

Take my hand,
          we can dance,
                      for a while,

well get stuck in the rhythm,
                      and move to the rhyme,

                               one more time,

don't tell me your tired
                            that's a lie,

cuz you can sleep all you want when you die,

                             that's why we make it a point of being alive.
