A Cold Front

Its warm today,
         Warmer then its been,
For a while,

And if you don't believe me,
      Step outside,
and feel that stiff southern

        b
            r
              e
                 e
             z
          e,

pulling moisture from the gulf,

In the north east(us),
            Its above 50 degrees (F),

which means those heat pumps,
         are finally working,

The heat pulls lovers apart,
from their winter slumber,

So un-attach from your lady friend,
          take a shower,
and hurry
or you'll be late for work,

Now in your haste,
you failed to realize
it was a short sleeve day,

So as you take your seat in the office,
Be prepared to roll up your sleeves,
and sweat,

Because this is the hottest day in January,
and it will be cold tomorrow.

Splitting Up

A dissenting attraction,
        Caused a major reaction,
     That vetoed these minds apart,

                 Long before sorrow,
          bid them good marrow,
distractions sprung up and took part,

         Just another tragedy,
                      To play on this reality,
       the reruns spoil this episode,

The fog rolls in heavy,
          makes life more burly,
and we forget this futuristic plot.

Question Marks

Will I find what I'm looking for,
I can't shake this disease,
Waiting on flashing red lights,
Seasons change all our needs,

Left hand turn,
Are we going,
the right way,
Theres no time to decide,

Freedom Dies

Come to the beat of the rhythmic war drum,
          Our tribes a moving
                            when freedom calls,
                 If we die,
I can say at least we all tried,

To answers freedoms last cry.

Danger

Why not end it all,
     Smear blood upon this wall,

Turn the heater,
    All the way up,
So it cooks my body raw,

And the smell,
     Will be strong,
     As it seeps,
 Through the walls,

and I'll turn my lock,
           so you'll have ta knock,
        and I won't respond,

cuz I'll be

        long gone,
long gone,
                long gone,

A little booze,
       will make it alright,
      to decide,
whats wrong

      or whats right,

So I grab the gun,
          And it feels light,

Contemplate

      decimate,
and send that piercing sound,
                                    that suffocates,

feeling warm,
       and light headed,

I reach for my head,
        to feel the ooze,
but I'm not quite dead,

Dazed and confused,
                I feel so used,

Will my thoughts stain,
I should of done

          this by a drain,

Its too late now,

The world turns red,
Blood fills my eyes,

I'd rather be in bed,

Its too late now,

I attempt to shout,
but the mouth can't compute,

my life is over,
that i will not dispute,

Its too late now
Too late now,
Its too...............

Within Reach

We could drive,
                  in my car,
and go someplace,
                 that's really far,

Its outta sight,
         but within reach,
like those times,
         were hitting up the beach,

You gotta

Scream out loud,
            if you wanna go,
And I'll stop on by,
          and we'll hit the road,

And we won't need a map,
                           To get us there,

Cuz getting lost,
     were already there,

the trip is you,
   the trip is me,

together is where
              our hearts will be.

Demon Hunting

To the basement the men walk,
with knowing eyes,
they descend upon,
A childish cry,

They stood still,
with their eyes wide,
and the hair on their backs,
going straight to the sky.

Continuing forward,
They reach for their axes,
light their torches,

as the demons crying,
turning into a sigh,

The demon stared,
Into the men's eyes,
and dissolved away,
into the night,

with a deep cackle,

the shadows begin to move,
and acquire a victim,

As everyone races for the door.
