Marijuana Prohibition

Why is it illegal,
       to make,
           what makes,
    you happy.

For...

As long as you are responsible.
     and don't hurt,
              your fellow man,
    there should be no qualm.
           on a perfectly taxable product.

For marijuana only brings,
          temporary joy,
              to a temporary existence.

The alternative,
           is to deny,
              curious individuals,
,
 Who seek out,
                alternative solutions,
          to imperfect outcomes.

    Similar to the 1920s,
          Where society experimented,

                spawning,

                      and later repealing,
               the 18th amendment.

            Whose users,
                         only wanted,
                                 to loosen,
                      their edge,
                    
             And relax.
