Stratus clouds,
Litter the sky,
Periodically allowing,
The sun,
To break through,

Heavenly TV,
Casts the easterly shadows,
Causing our darkened imprints,
To follow our footsteps,

Gazing a far,
The Meandering Trail,
A maple,
A oak,
A walnut,
A birch,

Randomly placed,
Across mountain sides,
Stripped of colors,
Persephone’s curse,

A lone evergreen,
Greets our passing,
Blocking wildly,
The northerly chill,

Rattles of metal,
Rhythmically follow,
The beat of the drum,
Marching towards,
Charles hideout,

Setting out camp,
We plan our assault,
On A lone complex,
On the distant hill,

We’ll pass through the gate,
At 19 hundred,
Clear the building,
Room by room,

Groups of two,
Moving fast,
Eliminating all,
In the resistance force.
